Middle Temple Lane Chambers was founded in January 2009 by a small group of barristers who shared the ethos that a modern day set of barristers' chambers required a modern day business outlook. Since then, chambers has gone from strength-to-strength, but all our counsel continue to hold that same belief. We understand that each client, whether an individual, group or organisation, has individual needs which we strive to put at the centre of our work. We appreciate that clients want to understand the legal process and be involved at all stages of their case. We also understand that many of our clients work to strict deadlines and therefore our counsel will respond to any correspondence within 14 days of receipt unless a different period is agreed. Putting the client's needs first means listening and therefore we always urge anyone who uses (or thinks they would like to use) chambers to contact us to discuss their needs.
Within chambers, we have strong teams dealing in crime, family and many areas of civil work (including personal injury, credit hire and employment). A number of our barristers are also able to accept instructions on a public access basis (i.e. being instructed directly by a member of the public). The first point-of-call within chambers will be the clerks' room. Our clerks are led by Brenda Anderson, a lady with formidable experience of clerking. Any queries about chambers or its barristers can be directed to her for her personal attention.
